Radio Cover on 2000 Sport Nautique

Hey, my first post to this site.

In my 2000 Sport Nautique, the radio is on the right side of the driver and has a cover mounted on a hinge. Has anyone ever had the cover for the radio snap off the hinge, or more importantly, what have people done to fix this?

I am new to the sight also and also have a 2000 Sport Nautique. The cover on mine was lose when I got the boat last year, and with the spring on the hinge it tries to pull the screws out everytime it is opened. I ended up getting some bigger screws that would fit tight into exsisting holes. it works good now but I am very careful not to open the door too far against the stop. I don't let any of my beer drinking buddies adjust the radio, this helps too.
