Gas gauge quit working today on my new to me 03 super air. I am thinking sending unit. I will pull it and test it with the ohm meter. The wires going to it from the boats harness tested good. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Just searched this topic now that I am on the computer and not my phone.... Seems to be a common problem. Will test sending unit and go from there. Thanks -
Pulled out the sending unit, tested the ohms with a volt meter. With the volt meter hooked up and then sliding the float up and down the shaft, I registered no ohms on the volt meter. Hopefully that is how you test it...... Ordered a new sending unit a few minutes ago. Will update when it arrives.....Comment

New sending unit from nautique parts did the trick. All fixed, good to go. Note- with the new sending unit I was able to "test it" like I did the old one and get the meter to register some ohms as I slid the float up and down.Comment
