The original Airguide pitot tube only had two screws. It looks like somebody made an adapter that probably mounted with the two original screws, that the newer three screw pitot tube could bolt to.

I agree. It's almost impossible to find the old Air guides, so looks like an adapter.

CC stopped using Airguide pitots when they stopped using Airguide speedometers (1999 was the last year). 2000-2003 boats still used pitots, and the ones Ive seen on 196's of that vintage were mounted to some sort of stand off similar to whats pictured above. My guess is that is the stock set up. What year is the boat?

If I remember correctly when I replaced a damaged pickup on my 03 SANTE, what you have is correct from the factory. The plate attached to the hull accepts a steel ball and spring. The 3 screw pilot tube then bolts to it. The gap between the two plates along with the ball and spring enable the pilot tube to "break away" if something is hit while underway causing the pilot tube to flip up.

Sorry this is an 05 210 ... Well there are two different styles on it so I guess the squared one was a generic fit all replacement

Now that I look at your other side and compare them to mine the first one is a bit odd. As long as it does as intended I don't really see a problem with it though. Here is a look at mine.

Thank you sir.. Figured something was off... Ill prob order another one. I don't like thing not being correct ... Drives me nuts ....

Check this out!!! I have been recurring all the amps because this is how they compensated for a wire being to short.. They also didn't bother to remove the stock amp wires and it was all balled up in zip tie clusters still connected to the batteries.

As a result my hand looks like ...

                    Peace..

Ha ha!! No but I would of felt better had that been the case of the hand nic's and my wallet would be heavier.

I almost have all the rewording finished just have to get them attached to the battery. So I'm on the down hill side. Bought a couple spools of 50 feet and 1/2 wire loom. Got it all looking great and clean.
