    GT40 EFI Exhaust Manifold Lifespan?

    Hi,

I read somewhere that in salt water, manifold should be replaced every 5 year.

My manifolds seem like they've never been replaced on my 97 SN. Would 16 years be about time to replace?

I am going to replace the riser and manifold gaskets and though I would check for cracks or high rust but maybe I should just replace anyway.

Any recommendation on brand? (PCM, OSCO, BARR...)

    Thanks

in salt water - yes! out of salt, it's hard to say. my old boat was 16 and on original manifolds - they were fine. i've heard of manifolds lasting 20 years plus in fresh water.
