Can you buy just the lens for a 2008 faria tachometer?

Does anyone know if you can buy just the lens for a faria tach from a 2008 SANTE 210? Does anyone have a tach that quit but they would sell it to see if I could cannibalize it for the lens? If you buy a new tach, do you get to start at zero hours?

You can send it back and they will replace, I believe it's was $50 two years ago

Well I sent my tach to Faria and they fixed the lens for me. Don't really know about total cost to repair it, it was around 20.00 to ship there, 50.00 or so to fix, I think that included return shipping, but they did not mark it as a repair item, so I was charged some random taxes that were about 26.00 or so. I think I could've bought a new gauge for about 200.00? Should have done that and not wasted my effort getting the old one fixed. The only thing is that the old tach shows the correct hours......

you saved $104.00 us dollars. a new tach would have read the exact same hours though.

I see, I wonder if you would have to surrender your old tach if you bought a new one? I can see the obvious implications of replacing the tach to falsify the hour readings etc.

your hours are stored in the engine ECM. you can't fake the hours. the gauges are just displays.

In my experience Faria is really good about standing behind their products and repairs. I think you should feel good about the $ savings.
