I don't think it would be critical to remember to retract. The tabs in general will just raise the back of the boat and remove the wake. If you left one side extended and then sped up it would probably quickly become obvious and you would just continue on - without slowing - and retract.

I am relatively certain that someone that understand electricity better then me could use the control unit/wires from volvo set up with tabs from nautique and have an easy time of it. The nautique system is just one tab on each side. So should easily retro fit somewhat with volvo set up.

Option one is nss tabs with volvo electronics setup. This is nice in that control panel would tell you how far in/out they are.

Option two is full on volvo set up...Not as pretty for sure.

Option three wait for nss to become more broadly available.

I still think that if you could buy the plates from Nautique you could wire them to a toggle switch and have a setting for port, starboard, and off. You could then use it in sequence with your Hydro-Gate to have the same effect as if it was digitaly controlled by the LINC 2.0.

Not entirely sure that would work the same way. The NSS comes off of the *side* of the boat while the volvo system goes off the *bottom* of the boat. However you could probably just mount them to where they would stick off to the side and it might actually work. Just a thought but if it worked it would be very big for people that dont have the LINC 2.0.

Pretty easy really, you would buy the NSS kit from your dealer to suit the model of boat you have i.e 08' 210, fit the kit to the transom, mount a pair of nice momentary on/off/on rocker switches and away you go. If you wanted to get real fancy you could use a Lenco or Lectrotab indicator kit with buttons.........

It will work the same, without the fancy features the LINC 2.0 adds to the equation......... No different to a normal trim tab.

At our boat show, the dealer had the NSS on the back of their G23 hooked up to a couple of carling switches and a battery to demo how it works.... and inadvertently proving that there's no need for the "brain" to deploy and retract.
