2002 SAN Impeller Problem After Annual

Boat was running fine but after doing the annual the cooling system was no longer working/passing water. (Tested in the driveway with Fake-A-Lake). I changed the impeller, thermostat, and a few cooling hoses.

First thought was maybe I put the thermostat in backwards. Pulled the thermostat and it was in correctly. Decided to reassemble without the thermostat to eliminate it as a variable. Still no water passing.

Concerning the impeller that seemed simple enough. New impeller, new o-ring, coated with dish soap and reinstalled. Unless I missed something the impeller housing can only mount one way.

I tested with the fake-a-lake before doing the annual so I know everything was working correctly. The problem has to be something I did.

Anybody have any ideas on where I went wrong and what I should check?

You probably mounted the impeller pump upside down.

Problem solved: I flipped the impeller pump 180 degrees.

      Thanks Chexi.
