    Servo Motor Mounting

    Wake fun,

I just installed PP on my 96 SS. Can you post a picture of where you mounted the servo motor. I mounted it on the passenger cooling line, but I'm not sure if that is the best location. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks!

            Thanks! wake_fun,

I was concerned because my servo cable comes up above the top of the motor. You can see the mount in the picture below, but it is hard to tell that the cable is above the motor. What this means is that when I close the back hatch it is pressing down on the cable. This does not seem to hurt the performance of the PP, but I was wondering if this is the best spot for the motor. I just wanted to see if you ran into the same thing.

            Thanks again!

Was away for the long weekend - boating and camping. Had beautiful weather.

Thanks a bunch! Yours looks close to mine but a little different (better). I like how your cable is running. I will have to take a closer look on mine tomorrow to see what the difference is. Thanks again -- I appreciate the pictures.

Yeah, there are a couple of cooling lines that run across the engine there. You have yours mounted on the one farthest toward the rear of the boat. I had mine on the next one towards the front of the boat. Yesterday, I mounted the motor the same way as yours and it is much better! The cable does NOT get in the way of the rear hatch. Thanks a ton for taking and posting the pictures -- I really appreciate it. I think it will work much better and last a lot longer mounted this way.

                        wake_fun,

Your spread on the PP install is great. Gave me that extra confidence that I was infact doing everything correctly, especially the paddle wheel. Great idea w/ the magnets, that worked wonderfully. Install was cake at just over 3 hours from uncovering to covering the boat back up. A lot easier than installing my hard tank ballast. And best of all, it worked... "Perfect"

                        Thanks again!

I have read that you can use the throttle cable to fish the servo wire harness to the dash. I was thinking of just running it down the driver side gunnel. My PP kit is 300 miles away with my boat. Is the harness long enough?
