    Small bugs! Stereo and Hours!

Just getting my boat ready (Its towing nationals in a few weeks here in NZ), and hoping to fix a few minor bugs before then. Would appreciate if anyone has had something similar or has any ideas! The boats a SANTE 220 (2007)

1- The stereo only works in the left speakers at low volumes, as soon as it cranks up all speakers work as normal. Its the standard Clairon unit.

2 - The hour meter is stuck at 999, I've done 1260hrs and the engine read out is perfect when connected to the computer, but the display has been stuck at 999 ever since it reached 999 hours!

    Any thoughts much appreciated!

The hour meter just stops there, my boss has the same problem with his 07 which has similar hrs to yours. His 'fix' was to add a cheap hr meter in the engine compartment so he can keep up with the maintenance. He did run it by the dealer and they don't have a solution other than selling him a new boat.

Stereo sounds like a bad/loose connection somewhere.

My hour meter on my 86 got stuck when it rolled half way between 999 and 1000. I ran it for the remainder of the day and i looked down that evening and it had flipped itself over. I think its just because those meters go 10+ years without flipping that number field over.

It's digital Zach apparently they never programmed it to go past 999.

Cheers - I wonder if there's any firmware upgrades for these units.... Not programming it to go past 999hrs seems like a huge oversight!
