I'm having transmission issues and was researching replacements for my 2000 super air. I cannot find what the current part numbers are for buying a new or used transmission. The old pcm part number is of no use. From what i understand this is a Hurth. Does anyone know what the hurth part # is?

Okay, I finally got the vdrive and transmission out of the boat. Transmission is a PCM-40 1:1, pretty much considered scrap by all of the builders I've spoken to since they are too expensive to rebuild. The walter vdrive was also inspected and had a broken gear which is probably what got stuck and ruined the transmission. I am now replacing both with a borg warner transmission and vdrive assembly (liberty 72-LV). My transmission guy says that this assembly is way better and will still cost less than trying to replace or rebuild what I have. I will document the process here if anyone is interested.

Hopefully you have already thought of this but make sure you keep prop rotation in mind. Your 2000 currently takes a RH prop. Depending on the setup of the trans and V-drive that could change the direction it spins and require a LH prop. You would need to change props and that opposite rotation could cause some negative handling issues since the boat was designed to spin a RH prop. Just something to think about, good luck getting your boat back up to speed.Shawn

Any handling issues would probably be minor if existent at all. I would guess that CC was still using the same molds for LH 210s in 2006 that they were for the previous years RH 210s so any hull modifications were likely minor and done by hand after it came out of the mold. If there are handling issues a skilled boat builder should be able to make those modifications for you but it will probably be ok. If you surf on the regular side you will now have a better wave on that side to boot! Good luck and please keep us posted on how it turns out.Shawn
