    Changing trailer tires

Last year I had to change three trailer tires. One I used the scissor jack from my Ford F-150 (because I didn't have anything else), second a bottle jack and the last an Easy Lift Trailer Jack, which I don't think was made for a tandem axle trailer.

I'm not happy with any one of these options and since I cannot find out who is leaving screws on the ramp and am going to buy the Andersen Rapid Jack.

I'm pretty lazy. With my tandem torsion bar trailer I just pull one tire up on a curb and the other one on that side just floats in the air. I have changed 3 tires on the road in this manner. Last time was when the wheel bearing let go. Oh yeah, I have also towed the boat home on 3 wheels two different times. Gotta love torsion bar suspension...

Nice step chock idea! We use the exact same thing to stabilize cars involved in accidents.

Yeah ....I've made similar w/2x12's but mitered the cuts to use for quick oil changes in the driveway etc. Over the years, ....as my belly gets bigger....I just add layers to the stack.
