call me dumb, but what exactly do i use to clean my flame arrestor?

I had never rinsed mine after... But it can't hurt. If I did, I would probably blow it dry with some compressed air... Since it is metal, there shouldn't be a worry to damage anything with the compressed air.
My disclaimer: I am not a mechanic....
But it has worked fine for me for years and years doing it that way.

I like the idea of soaking overnight or so and then use a fresh can of carb cleaner to blow through the fins. Then let it dry in the sun if you like.
I wouldn't use any water.
