Trailer lights flashing rapidly?

Anyone seen this behavior? The rear lights on our trailer flash rapidly when the vehicle is turned off. When the trailer is hooked up and the car is running, all lights work as expected (left/right turn signals, hazard lights, reverse, etc) When the vehicle is turned off, the lights start flashing rapidly. Not the regular lights though, a white light kind of like the little flashing strobe lights that flash inside traffic signals/stop lights to get drivers' attention. The trailer is a 2012 Roadrunner made in TX for my '12 210 SANTE. I'll see if I can get a video of the behavior, but I already contacted Roadrunner and they said it shouldn't be flashing. They suggested I check the wiring in my vehicle, but the 7-pin connector on my vehicle works great with our other CTW trailer and every other boat I've towed recently, so I don't think the vehicle wiring is an issue. Anyone have any theories on this one?

I should add that my tow vehicle is a Range Rover. I came across a thread that referenced people having issues with trailer lights with Land Rover vehicles, just curious if anyone can add more details. If it's my tow vehicle, what would I need to do to correct that?

We had a few newer Dodge trucks that had LED conversions in the cargo lights. For some reason the trucks would put out just enough power turned off to cause the LEDs to glow ever so slightly. Not enough power to light up a standard style light but it sure would an LED. Was not isolated to one truck.

On a side note my cousin's old 91 Cummins Dodge's cargo light never worked and we never fixed it. One night we were watching a storm while the truck was backed into the driveway. Right before a lightning strike the cargo light slowly started to glow and got brighter and brighter. Must have been static electricity lighting up the body and making contact with the broken wire to the cab light. Made for a pretty creepy evening haha.
