Transmission slippage?

I took my '04 Sante out for the first time yesterday afternoon and had an issue with the transmission?

I was pulling my kids on tube doing some hard turns and every so often it would feel like the transmission would slip, almost like prop would pop out on an old I/O drive with real hard turn.

Looking through posts it mentioned something about excessive water in bilge. There was quite a bit of water in when I pulled the plug.

When it slipped everyone was in the back of the boat, so I moved some people up front and it wouldn't do it anymore.

Any ideas?

Check the tranny oil levels. You will notice slippage in the turns when the fluid is low.

Obviously, there could be other issues but this is the first step...and often the last step. Had this condition on two different boats (I am ashamed to admit). -Marc

I never lost control of the boat... so it wasn't chine locking. I'll check fluid levels. Thanks

I vote chine locking, or at the least too much air around the the prop, if changing weight and dumping water stops the problem, then problem solved......
