    Swim Deck Hardwear

I've got a 1989 Nautique. The swim deck has hardwear on it that allows the deck to come off for easier garage storage. The hardwear is pretty worn and I need new brackets. Any suggestions where to find some?
    Thanks.

Are they totally out of commision? If not then I would sandblast them and powder coat them and call it good. Otherwise you'll be hard pressed to find direct replacements.

There pretty worn. Thinking of trying JB weld and sanding it down. The brackets are pretty loose.

A powdercoat job might build enough thickness to bring them back into spec.

Your brackets look about the same as those still used. Have
you checked to see if the bolt patterns are the same?

Where can I get these ones that are still used? None of the boat shops have them. Thanks for the help.

Well, if the bolt patterns are the same, I would contact Mid Ohio
Watersports (advertised at the top of this page). They are usually
very good to folks on this site, and offer a 15% disount to folks on
              this site.

Mid Ohio Watersports can get them. Kellie wrote back with:

I do not have the swim deck brackets in stock, I can order them. The price is $187.80 with your Planet Nautique discount.
                    Thanks,
                    Kellie Repasky

But my buddy took them down to his welding shop and threw a couple of aluminum welds on the shafts then grinded them down to fit. Cost nothing and everything fits sweet.

Well, it helps to have talented friends with welding equipment.

Glad it worked out for you.
