Hi guys, i have a query regarding my 96 super sport. The interior is getting a bit torn up and i'm looking at purchasing some new skins from Christine's for the seat bases and rear hatch for now. By the looks of things the interior on my 96 although a different pattern is the same as the newer super sports (ie. up to 99). Does anyone know if the are the same and if i could get the newer style skins to suit my seats and rear hatch? I could ask Christine's but thought i'd try here first. Cheers.

Yes you can. They are all the same size seat bases and the hatch is the same also. You could pick what ever you wanted from 95 to 01 actually. The major interior change happened in 02 when they changed the depth and width of the passenger area.2001 Super Air Nautique

Yes BC is correct. Are you planning to do the install yourself or have a professional do it? I was toying with doing it myself but ended up having it installed professionally last year. From the research that I did it seems like the 2 rear corner and the love seat bottoms are extremely hard to get right because of the curved edges. I am sure it's doable for a DIYer but I decided it wasn't worth the risk for me.
Another tip, when you have the old skin off of the hatch, make sure you really tighten up the bolts for the hinges and maybe add some Loc Tite on the hatch side because you won't be able to get to them easily once the new skin is on.Shawn

Great news thanks for confirming this. I had thought of giving it a go myself, maybe start on the square seats and see how i go. Cheers for the hatch tip will make sure i do this while its apart.Comment

01 was the first year of three piece rear hatch, unless its a python.Comment
