Check down stream from impeller in the hoses up to t-stat. When you get the t-stat off be sure to have a new gasket on hand when you put it back together. Also make sure you have the hose clamps are tight.Current---06 196 w/ZR6

Work from the impeller back to the fresh water intake. First you need to install a new impeller. When I de- winterize mine I pull of the hose from the fresh water intake and stick it in a 5 gallon bucket of water and have a garden hose with a valve fill the bucket as much as it sucks while idle. Make sure it's sucking good at idle. You should feel it suck your fingers when you feel the end of the hose in the bucket. Take all of the hoses off prior from your water pump to the oil cooler then cooler to the fresh water strainer and then after the strainer. Make sure the soft metal on your oil cooler hose ends isn't bent in to where you might be sucking air at idle due to a crimp in the cooler how's fitting. Reassemble all hoses and make sure clamps are tight. Fill the fresh water strainer full of water prior to starting once you've checked everything. Hopefully that helps. I always suck water from a bucket instead of a garden hose directly attached to the water hoses that I used to do. Let me know of that helps.1990 SN / Cincy, OH
