This is the 3rd summer to use boat and last 2 I paid someone to change the impellor, oil, and check everything. I am going up early and want to do it myself. I am mechanically inclined, my question is what impellor should i get? they are 30 to 50$ at nautique parts, and I want to replace my belt (started squeeking last year) and really dont know which to get. do i get the serpentine? I have a 03 air nautique 216 with the 5.7 330 hp. Thanks in advance. Anything else i need to do. I am going to change plugs, charge batteries, change impellor, belt, and oil.

Hopefully the trans and motor oil/filter was changed at winterizing, if so u don't need to do it again. If you are due for plugs you may want to replace the cap and rotor as well. When was the FCC filter changed last? If more then a couple seasons old change that as well. Impeller does not need to be replaced every year, inspect it, if it looks OK use, just always have a spare on hand. 03' Excalibur may use V-Belts, post a pic and we can tell you for sure, otherwise if it's a serpentine, just one belt to change. Who winterized the boat? Are all the drain plugs replaced? Would check them all regardless. If your rudder has a Zerk fitting, hit that with some grease.

It starts and runs good. Not sure when plug were changed. Yea I always check drain plugs. My storage place winterized it. I change oil at beginning of summer. I like to be hands on on all toys and vehicles but boat being 2 hrs away puts a strain on it. I'm building a house and shop so end of the year my problem will be solved.

Are you saying you changed the oil at the beginning of last summer and then whoever winterized it changed it again in the fall? If so, then no need to change the oil again as already mentioned.
In general, if you aren't using your boat enough to warrant an oil change during the summer season, then change it in the fall when winterizing because dirty oil has built up impurities and acid that you don't want sitting in a dormant engine. Change in the fall, hop in and go in the spring (assuming everything else is in working order).
