Those who park in the garage

Do you folks who park your boats in the garage, put your covers on? Or do you leave them uncovered?
I cant decide what I want to do with mine. I cover mine, but wanted to know what you all do.

Mine lives in garage and don't cover, seems like I'm always doing something to it so would suck to cover. That and it's often damp after getting back from lake so I have a fan overhead to blow down on boat while in the garage. I also don't cover while towing unless rain is a threat.

I will occasionally cover it for the winter, but other than that, it stays uncovered when in my garage

I do a half and half.....partial cover with opening to let it breathe...keeps the dust out...it works out pretty well...

I lay the cover on it as a dust cover, don't tie it down to let it breathe and have easy access.

thanks, Yeah thats what I do as well - cover it, but dont strap it down or anything. Just to block out the dust.

Mine is uncovered all summer. I also use my CoverSports cover when towing most of the time.
During the winter I have a real loose fitting cover that gets draped over the boat along with a ton of dryer sheets. I use the cover in the winter just to discourage people from putting things in it and to keep dust out.

What do the dryer sheets do? Absorb moisture?

I leave the cover off for about a day or so after use until everything drys out. After that, cover goes on. There's so much dust, debris, and cr@p that gets in our garage that is worth keeping out of the interior for the 3 minutes it takes to get the cover on or off. YMMV.

I find they keep bugs away and keep it smelling nice. I stuff them in all the cubbies and holes. So under seats and in the engine bay.
That way in the spring the inside of the boat smells nice and fresh, like it was never stored.

The cover is always off my boat, during travel, in garage, etc. The cover only gets used when chance of rain and overnight at camping.

I cover it to keep the dust out but have a squirel cage fan on a timer to keep the air moving.

Dryer sheets are rodent deterrents as well, especially during the winter...fresh smell is just a bonus. If you have power/garage door opener you can mount a box fan upside down and leave on low to air it out, it works awesome for the really wet days-
