All of my big garages are in my home town so here I don't have the luxury of it being inside. Covered all the time. Covered on the lift all summer. I usually remove all seat bases if I have to put it away wet. I like the dryer sheet idea. Mine just smells like boat which it always does so the smell doesn't really bother me much. Winter storage I cover it without the poles or tying it down. Drain plug is always out. I can't believe some of the smells boats here at the shop have after the owners leave them plugged all summer long.

Oh by the way, that white on red is stunning.

Here is my garage setup. I leave the cover off all the time with no issues at all. I also use a ceiling box fan for the wet carpet days.

I keep mine uncovered with the seats up and hatches open, the first day or two parked I run a fan and dehumidifier set on 55% humidity. It does get dusty over winter but Orlando winters are short and I get a group of people out on the lake to help me wash it.

After ours drys out in the garage, I cover it as well to keep the dust down. I have a diesel truck which gets started in the garage, and the diesel dust is a pain to clean off the boat. I have never tried the dryer sheet concept, but I will have to as we often will have a mouse or two sneak into the garage!

Try putting Irish Spring soap bars around your trailer, mice hate the smell and won't climb up into the boat, also bounce dryer sheets in the boat and mice poison bate stations along the garage walls the last thing you want is them to start chewing on the wires.

I should mention that my brother in law left his boat uncovered in his detached garage during the off season a year or so ago. He had a rat get in the boat and devoured a good portion of his seats. I think with the cover intact, this little vinyl gnawing monster might not have gone to the trouble of getting in the boat.

I keep it covered in the winter, more or less as a dust cover. Summer months we use it enough to where it would be a pain to keep it covered. I usually shut the garage door when I cut grass to keep the dust out also.
