    Hull ID numbers

Hello all. I did a quick search and could not find an answer to my question.

Got a new to me nautique in the fall. How do I remove the old registration numbers. I tried pealing with my fingernails, but that was a no go. Do you guys use a razor blade? What should I use so I dont damage the gel coat? Thanks for the help.

Use a hair dryer to warm up the letters, and some 3M adehsive remover to get off any goo the left behind. Do not use a razor blade or anything sharper than your thumbnail...unless you're good at wetsanding.

Heat guns are perfect things to have around. You can get a basic one at lowes or HD for $40.
