dreaded limp mode and RPM reduction

took boat out and surfed for about 1.5 hours, switched sides (for my turn of course) and the boat goes to limp mode after 2k RPM. I did some research on here and it looks like it could be the oil pressure sensor. Where is the oil sensor on an 04 210? is there any test i can do to validate this? Also, is there anything else it could be and that i can check?

    boat has 370 hours.

the switch will be on the starboard side of the engine. I want to say it's closer to the "bow, and about mid way down the engine, maybe slightly higher." i had this problem and just clipped the wire one day out on the water and problems went bye bye.

Gride is right, its where the oil filter would be mounted on a small block chevy, The sensor is about 1 1/4 inches in diameter and about 2 inches long, with a brass hex on one end and black plastic on the other end. It should have a light green wire that is held on a tab by a flat headed screw on a tab on the plastic end. If you disconnect it and retest the boat it should come out of limp mode. I would recomend replacing the switch if it is the problem as it could save your engine if it looses oil pressure.

Does your engine loose oil pressure when it happens? There is two separate sensors in the system, one is for the gauge and one for the limp mode. but if the engine is loosing oil pressure then you have a problem in the engine, first check you oil level to see if you have not enough oil in your engine.
