Probably a stupid question, but...
I am having some water in the bilge issues, its a 1998 Super sport GT 40 about 850 hours, I have identified one leak from the fresh water cooling hose that needs to be replaced. I also noticed water dripping from the 4" exhaust hose at the muffler, when I tightened the hose clamps it leaked more I moved them around a little to try to adjust and re-tightened (closer to the end of the hose) it continues to drip water.
Is it just time to replace the hose? Do they "wear out" where you cannot seal them?
Just put the boat in for the season and it is on whips, planning on putting it on a lift to change out the fresh water hose.
Thanks
