check engine light on 210 SAN 2006

Hello All,

We just went with our 210 SAN 2006 Excalibur for the first time and after an hour the check engine light went on. Temp was ok (fresh water cooling system) around 175 F and oil pressure was ok.

What can cause this light to go on?
Which sensors can cause this ?

We have stopped wake surfing and I didn't have the feeling that the engine was running on limp mode.

if it's the same as the GT40 engine there is a sender unit for temp and oil pressure. these trigger the CEL and limp mode. limp mode reduces rpm to 2000 so would probably be noticable. you could try disconnecting each sensor in turn, perhaps one is failing. these senders are different than those for the guages.

I Believe that the GT-40 has different controls and will have different signals. Can someone advise me what to do??

I'm thought that the ECM monitors oil pressure and coolant temp through the same/similar senders/switches (for a 2006 anyways).

A switch for the oil pressure http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=R020015A - mounted beside the oil pressure sender and a similar switch for the coolant temp?

I could be wrong.

Correct and stated a different way to be sure.

There are "senders" (variable) for oil pressure and water temp that enable the Nautique gateway to position the gauges.

There are "switches" for low oil pressure and high water temp used for indicating faults/alarms.

The alarms don't queue off the switches.

I sent euqene a pm and the parts book. He's probably just getting off work.
