    LINC System Update/Repair

    I purchased a new Sport 200 last spring, and just dropped it in the water this morning to start off the 2013 boating season. When I booted up the LINC System, I was met with the screen that you see in the photo. Based on the USB and Flash drive icons, it looks like the system is requesting an update. I have tried clicking the red X to clear the screen, but that simply makes it reboot, and it comes back to this each time. I have also tried shutting everything down, turning off the battery switch, and then re-booting. No luck.

    Unfortunately, I have no visibility to any gauges or controls until this issue is fixed. As I'm sure that you can imagine, this is frustrating since I am scheduled to host a large group at the lake this weekend, and we were hoping to ski, wakeboard, etc. Without a working LINC System, this isn't really an option. The boat will run, but I have no gauges or system controls.

    Can you please advise me regarding this issue? I am still under warrantee, but taking the boat in to the dealer to have work done is extremely inconvenient. They are not nearby, and this is one of the busiest weeks of the year for them. I am very tech/computer savvy, and would like to fix the issue myself if at all possible. I eagerly await your responses.

    If you go to the Stereo and Accessories section someone was wondering the same thing. People posted links to a thread that can help you out.

      I would hope the dealer or CC could email the file. You please on a flash drive to get going. Should need a dealer to do this. If we do we are all in trouble. CC might want to think about 24 hour tech support numbers.

        I just got an update from Nautique and my local dealer, and it looks like this is an odd issue that they haven't really seen much. Instead of messing around with software updates, they are going to replace the unit with a new one. Thanks to Nautique for standing behind their product, and taking care of the problem with minimal hassle!
