i think i may have posted this question before, but here goes. so my buddy now has the $$ to get his boat working again. 2005 210 w ex330 closed cooled. he asked me if he should get a brand new engine(i' assuming it would have to be the ex343; which could cause some issues?). My answer is a jasper marine engine. Does anybody know what the block # and head # is? i think they told him they needed that information. Or, should he just have his current engine rebuilt? thanks for the info.

the 330 and the 343 are the same gm marine long blog. Just the bolt ons (manifolds, cats, alternator, etc) and tune are different. Any old GM long block will work fine.
I'd order up one of these: http://www.michiganmotorz.com/350ci-...ent-p-109.html

i'm no mechanic, but i think brackish h20 got into the engine when one of the risers was leaking. it's seized up. the info jasper needs that i don't technically have is really just rotation. i know it's roller not flat tappet, i know it's a 2005 350 cu in, etc. jasper seems to have a good deal after talking to them. i just figured the 343 wouldn't work because of the drive by wire throttle? either way it's definitely not going to be a new engine after checking prices.

That long block that I linked to is the exact same thing PCM would start with when creating either the ex330 or ex343.
or buy the same thing here for a little more money: http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RB001005H
