98 Ski Nautique paddle wheel location?

I need to install a paddle wheel on the 98 SN I just bought. It has the older pitot tube based system right now and I want to upgrade to the paddle wheel system I have. Even a picture from the motor compartment would be great.

    Thanks so much, Mike

I don't have any pics readily available, but mine were all mounted roughly 10" from the drain plug, under the right side of the engine (if you're looking towards to the stern). I don't believe there's an exact science to the location, just somewhere in that vicinity.

That is the correct location. About 10" to the port side of the drain plug.

Mikeski - it needs to be mounted on the bottom of the boat. If you mount it on the deck the wind speed might effect it. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

I did this on my Sport Nautique. Even with a tube of silicone I still checked it everytime i went out. Something about drilling a 1-1/2 hole in the bottom of a boat. Check PP website that is where I found my dimensions. I'm a little surprised to see the one on the vdrive. I would think the water pickup would interfer.

            I thought it was a 2" hole?

Either way it is still a BAH in the bottom of your boat.
