    2006 SV211 - Bilge Pump

I would appreciate your help in letting me know if the bilge pump in my 2006 SV211 is a 2 or 3 wire pump. My boat is at the lake, so I can't just go out and look at it. I was hoping to pick up a new pump before the weekend and would appreciate the help! Thanks

My 2005 SV211 SE uses two 2 wire pumps and yours is probably the same. The front one is just behind the ski locker and the rear is under the motor. They are the type of pump that senses water by "test pumping" for 5-10 seconds every few minutes. If there is water the pump senses the load and keeps running, if there is no water it senses no load and shuts the pump down for another few minutes. They are fine to leave on overnight or over a weekend but they will eventually run the battery down if you leave them on for weeks.
