    Ballast Impeller

The belly breaker keeps blowing. I recenlty had the impeller replaced, but I thought I'd take peep at it. Does this look normal?

That is a different impeller. The impeller should be bright green. You can get one on Nautique parts for pretty cheap.

Picked up three shiny green ones today for my buddy's x45. Dealer told me 25 over the phone which I thought was cheap. Got there to pick them up and he said he had made a mistake and they were 35. He made it right and sold me them at 25. Guys of at Texas Mastercraft ain't bad. Too bad they don't sell the best boats!!! Haha!!!

my impeller just died on one of my ballast pumps last week. Was it difficult to swap them out? I figure I would replace all of the impellers right now rather than wait for the others to go. Do you think that is a waste of time? Thanks!

nautique parts has the green ones. I am also noticing in your photos that your pumps are oriented opposite of mine. My brass section of the pumps are faced down. Will I have to removed the pump completely to flip it over and replace the impeller?

Fold all the ears down with a zip tie and stick it in the housing up to the zip tie then cut the tie and push it in the rest of the way. Should take 10 minutes.

That is pure genius!! I have never though of doing it that way! Could have saved me a lot of trouble last year when I was changing everything out on my old Dynasty before I sold it.

Wow that is a great tip! Does the same trick work with the raw water pump as well?

I believe the green ones are the same compound as blue globes, globe just uses blue.

What is the idea of a run-dry impeller? Can you run it dry without damaging it?
