2013 Bimini Questions

Couple of questions on new standard bimini:

1. Can I trailer with the bimini? Especially at highway speeds?

2. Anyone else have issues with the fit of the bimini cover? I can't seem to get the cover pulled all the way on.

To answer the first question. I would never trailer my boat with the Bimini top, I always bring mine down. That is just way too much tension and wear and tear.

The second question, just like any new piece of canvas until it is stretched a little it is going to be a little struggle.

Dealer say you can tow with the bimini on but like pj said I would never either. 80mph is a lot of wear and tear on it plus its always nice to take it off and fold the tower down to stay covered while towing. I have not had any issues with my cover fitting properly.

You can tow with the bimini on the tower in the folded position with no worries at all.

At least in the G, you can fold the tower and flip the bimini up over the windshield and bow while still attached to the tower and put the boat cover on and tow that way. That's what I do.

Jeff do you just detach the front screw in knobs on the bimini and fold it forward ?? I have been completely removing mine to tow with the tower down ! Please explain thanks

I just bought a 2005 Air Nautique 226 and have no idea if the bimini folds up or do I have to remove it for trailering. Thanks!!
