    Noob Oil questions - 2012 PCM343

About to embark on my first oil-change for my 2012 210 SANTE, have a couple questions:

    - PCM manual recommends 15w40, which is proving hard to find. The only oil I can find at walmart/kragan/etc says "For Diesel Engines" on it, which is making me nervous. Does it make a difference if I go with the oil marked for diesel or should I keep looking for non-diesel 15w40?

    - the manual says to snake the oil drain hose out the bilge hole. I tried to get mine out the main drain hole but it's not long enough. Is there another hole closer to the engine that I'm missing?

    - roughly how many quarts should I be expecting to put in? I've heard somewhere between 4-5 quarts, just wanted to see what others are experiencing so I purchase enough oil. (I don't keep my boat close to my house so I want to get this right in one trip out there.)

I use Mobil 1 15w50 in all my boats with a K&N or Mobil 1 filter. It takes 5 qts. The oil drain is located under the small hatch under the rear seat you have to snake the hose under the trans close to the hull. It drains slow I start the night before and let it drain overnight.

I run castrol GTX 15w-40 in my Excalibur engine and am quite happy with it - it says for usage in both gasoline and Diesel engines on it if you read the fine print.

        Read this on the oil.
For volume, only put in the same volume as you drained out and then check it.
There are MANY threads on oil changes.

Rotella 15w-40 for my Excalibur 330. Same as I use on the Duramax diesel. Recommended by White Lake as well.

Actually, this is not the best oil to use for the Excalibur, I forgot I changed to Rotella 15w40 last fall since is has the SM rating, the Castrol GTX is only rated to SJ standards.
