    electronic key pad issue

So I have a 2001 Pro Air Nautique and Sunday was the first time the electronic keypad wouldn't work the first time. The green light would come on like it normally does when I put in the pass code. So i gave it some time and it worked. Later tried again and no luck. took the dash off couldn't see any frayed wires. All battery terminals good and no blown breakers. Got it back home and pushing the stop button it started. After that got it to start normally but the started stayed engaged and had to full the kill switch to kill it. Put it in drive and the starter wouldn't stops unless i put it in gear and back on when I shift back to neutral. It only did that once. Sometime it all works and other times nothing else works like blower, bilge or nav lights.
I personally don't feel that my closest dealer is any help.

I was think condensation in the key control pad but it seem sealed but I could see the so called computer board from one edge.
Any ideas what to check next or how to dry out the key pad?

Put it in a zip lock back full of rice over night and the rice should adsorb the water. It works for iPhones and it worked for at least one persons keypad on this site. Worth a try before shelling out for a new keypad.

There's been lots of keypad threads on here. They do go bad, corrosion under the micro switches. Although they are heavily sealed you can still get water/condensation in them. I had issues with my auxiliary keypad, that got wet and licked out the start keypad. Thought my start keypad had also gone bad until I disconnected the auxiliary.
A nice sunny day usually does the trick or disconnect and remove the keypad and dry it in the house.

      Hope this helps
