    Octane Booster

I have a 2002 Super Air Nautique Team Edition. Unfortunately I have relocated to a lake that only sells enthanol free gas at 87 octane and the nearest gas station to trailer to is 50 miles. My manual calls for 89 octane. Would it be possible to add octane booster to bring me to an acceptable level?

octane booster should be fine if you mix it up correctly. Here is a good write up that a member did recently: http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...t=octane+boost

Ethanol free gas is certainly better but as long as you are going through the tank pretty quickly then E10 is ok. I can only get E10 in MA so I don't have any choice. I just make sure to add some Stabil if my boat will be sitting for more than a week. I also try to keep my tank pretty full so that there is less room in the tank for condensation.

GT-40, excalibur or Python? I used to think my GT-40 said I had to use 89 or retard my iginition timing, but that was for a different engine, not my GT-40. I have been using 87 octane since with no problems. The EFI automatically adjusts the timing.

Its a PCM Excalibur 330. I only use the boat on the weekends and I dont make it every weekend so ethanol is not really a good idea for me. I guess I could add stabilizer if I had to use it. Any recommendations on a stabilizer.

Sta-Bil Marine (green formula) is good to use as an additive to fight the affects of ethanol and Star-Tron is a similar product. I have had good results with both.
