    Trailer Brakes Locked

I have a 06 SAN, dual wheel Boatmate trailer. Last night was driving home from lake and had to stop fairly quick at a red light. I could smell a little rubber burning. I was only about 1.5 miles from home. Got home stopped a top of drive and put a metal pin my tongue to prevent the brake from engaging as back down my drive. (I always use this pin when launching or storing the boat, works great). When I went to back down one rear tire was engaged. I could pull forward and after a few feet all rolled well, then reverse and the one wheel locked again. Long story short, I had to just back it down the drive with the wheel locked, but I need to get this fixed so I can get it in the garage (have to do this manually and no way we can do it without all wheels rolling freely). Any ideas? Low fluid, bad silinoid?.....

    Thanks,
    Eric

So assuming you have disk brakes, if you have to use a pin to back up either you don't have a reverse solenoid, or its not working, or wired correctly. The solenoid allows you to back up without Jerry rigging a pin the the actuator. Interesting that only one side locks up, I would jack up that side of the trailer and see if the wheels spin freely in both directions.

Well, went out this morning (was late last night when I got home) and looked at it. It appears the boat wasn't tight on the trailer and must have bounced and bent the fender well a little, just enough to scrub and prevent one tire from rolling smoothly when reversing, guess I will be finding a trailer repair guy today.
