2010 210 check engine light

The check engine light started coming on and the boat is running kind of weird. Also sometimes the check engine light comes on and there is no power when the boat is put into gear. All gauges are reading normal notsure if there is something I can check myself?

if you have the linc system you can go into the engine fault page and it will list the fault code and it will tell you how to fix the fault but will probably say take to dealer to diagnose ,sorry.

2010 210 check engine light

I know you said gauges are normal, but what do oil and temp read at when this happens? In addition, the oil "switch" could be faulty and believe you are out of oil pressure (not the same as being out of oil). The switch controls the check engine light and the sender controls the gauges. What does "running weird" mean?

Hello. It's the byerly edition so there is no linc system. The temp is at 160 and oil pressure is normal. After reading countless forums I believed it to be the oil pressure switch as well but when I look at a parts list for motor there is no awitch only a sender? Am I blind? Running weird means loss of power randomly. Also it doesn't say see dealer or anything on gauge the check engine light just comes on and then it will lose power. But sometimes the check engine light will come on and it won't lose power right away. I live very far from a dealer and any help would be appreciated.

I feel your frustration, I live a ways too , the check engine light needs a diagnostic tool hook up , and probably your dealer is the only one that has one, some times a another and closer boat dealer that uses the PCM motor can help, sometime its worth paying out of warranty just because of convenience. or maybe your dealer will make a house call, My dealer WHITE LAKE has done this for me many times in tight situations!!!

Thanks for the info. I am already aware that I can take it to the dealer. I was looking for a possible troubleshoot or alternative to that. Also my dealer wizard lake marine would never do anything like that for me. They have the worst service I have ever seen.

When is the last time you changed the fuel filter?

Check engine light can come on for many reasons.

How long has this been happening, how many tanks of fuel have you gone through with the same issue?

What does your battery voltage look like when running?

Just checking some basic things.
