    FCT5 and Z5

OK what I thought would take about a half hour ended up taking 3!!! My z5 was getting a lean to the front and needed to be readjusted. What a pain!! You would think that with the cost of the z5 it would be easier to adjust but the slots in the side bars of the z5 and the slight difference in the tower from side to side made the adjustment a real pain.

I ended up with both front supports 35" from the side wall of the boat and had to adjust the back supports to get the one inch rise on the z5 from the front to the back. The front distance is now 65" from the floor and the back is 66". It is a real potential for noggin knocking but at least it right for now. I hope it holds and stays there.

Can anyone give me their dimensions? Mine is on a G23 but I would be interested in the floor to center of bar on any boat with the FCT5 and z5. On my 230 with the FCT3 and z5 the floor dimensions were 66.5 and 67.5 and that was as high as I could get it keeping the clamps off the curve of the tower.

I'm also more interested in how it get more headroom under the z5 but I don't think it is possible. I'm looking hard at trading it for the factory bimini.
