    Oil Pressure Sending Unit

I am trying to replace my oil pressure sending unit on my 2006 SV211 with PCM 330 Excalibur engine. Does anyone know where it is located on the engine and how difficult it is to replace?? I have the part with me but boat in storage about 30 mins away. Want to look at it and have some clue before I get to boat. I have searched all posts on here but cant come up with where the thing is located on the engine?? Looks like a fairly simple part to replace, but trying to figure out how much work I will have to do to get to it?? Any Help greatly appreciated!!! Pics or diagram even better if you have them or link to them..........Thanks!!!!

I have all this info and will post it shortly.

I need to start getting paid for this.

    Edit: Item 23

Note: this is becoming more popular than the toggle. I guess I need to order one of these...its inevitable.

Update.......replaced sending unit and switch. Was about 30 minute job with the toughest part....getting to it. On my 06 SV211 with 330 Excalibur it is on the Starboard side front of engine near bottom. I had to pull the 2 piece engine divider to get to it......which is what took the most time. Although not easy to get to it...... Very simple to do and save some serious $$. Tested today and problem solved. Oil pressure showing normal ranges. THANK YOU AirTool and Jkallen for your Help!!!!!!

I have a 2005 SANTE with the 330 as well. My pressure gauge is reading nothing, nada... not even moving. So you are saying you replaced the sending unit and the the gauge at the same time?

If I read it correctly he replaced the sending unit and the switch, not the gauge.

Umm 21 is the sending unit. 23 is the switch. The switch looks like a mini R2D2 with a flat top.

Oh, and PCM has used the same sending unit since the early 70s. Sure makes it easy.

Just replaced mine in my 2008 220 and it was a snap. Disconnected sensor wire and used a 1" Crescent wrench to loosen sender. Very easy to do. Here is link to parts and location.

                      Will the switch cause leaking?

When the oil pressure sending unit shows low or no pressure will it put the boat into limp mode?
