    Depth Sounder

I'm getting intermittent "----" (no signal) indication from the gauge on the depth sounder. I checked the plug on the gateway box, it appears to be secure. Anyone ever have the sending unit fail on them? Other places I should look in the system?

I had intermittent issues with mine also. My transducer is mounted to the hull under the transmission. I topped off the pink RV type antifreeze that displaces the air under the transducer and have not had a problem since. It looked full, but must not have been.

The transducer on mine sits inside a black housing that is glued/sealed to the hull. You fill the "ring" with RV anti-freeze or oil in some instances. Then the transducer screws onto that ring. Not sure what type you have.
