teleflex to faria gauge 2002 196

I recently purchased a 2002 196. So I am new to this forum. I recently upgraded my boat to econtrols with ZO. Now I am replacing the old teleflex digital gauges that did not work. I bought the faria conversion kit and installed. Since I no longer have PP I was just going to wire my paddle wheel right to the back of the gauge. Instructions say blue wire on sensor bare wire on ground and black wire on signal. Both my paddle wheel and jumper harnes they supplied only has white and green. Have tried wiring it up both ways and neither works. Originally the speedo would slowly creep up but not work. Now it just stays at zero. Needle jumps when ignitiin is turned on and the backlight works. Any help would be great.

I also have a 2002 196 and the digital gauges have just gone out. Where did you purchase the new gauge kit ?

gauge conversion kits here. There are multiple different kits depending on if you have PP or not.
