Perfect Pass display buttons not working on a 2007 220

This morning the buttons on the perfect pass stopped working (worked the 1st hour we were out, then nothing, display still shows everything like normal)
I tried searching, seems like similar problems when the ribbon cable goes bad in the display unit?

I was unable to turn off perfect pass though, I even disconnected the display from the Faria box, but perfect pass would still engage.

For the short term, does anybody know how to turn off perfect pass so I can at least drive manually?

Mines doing the same thing on a 210. I had the entire display go black, then completely blank. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say. Their CS is great but i sure dont want to buy a new display. I have wakeboard pro version.

I'm having a similar issue with my 2007 210. everything works fine except for the left down arrow. You can try to reset your perfect pass to the default settings. To reset my Perfect Pass I have to hold down the menu and on/off button at the same time I start the engine. I plan to call Nautique tomorrow as well and will post what any useful info.

        Update:

It looks there's a problem with the Perfect Pass chip inside the gateway?
I checked continuity between the display and the gateway, as well as the gateway inputs and the ribbon cable terminations inside the gateway and all checked out.
I also inspected the gateway circuit board to IPC-A-610 and there was no visual issues.

I ordered the Stargazer upgrade and installed it yesterday, everything seems to be functioning properly now including the original display controls.
I hope to water test it on Monday

Hi guys. My perfect pass screen has been going in and out. It starts off working just fine. Then the screen flickers and then shuts off however...the speed when surfing or wake boarding still works.

          Any ideas?

Are you still able to control PP when the screen is off with the buttons on the display?

Sounds like there may be a bad connection to the LCD inside the display? I have heard of the ribbon cables going bad (but usually on much older units)
I would start by disconnecting the PP display and re-seating the plugs just to make sure there's no connection issues there.
In my '07 there was 2 plugs, one inside the dash and the other that plugs into the gateway.

If that doesn't work you'll probably want to try swapping in a new or known good working display.

I had same issues, faded to blank screen with mechanical functionality. Solution on a 06 210 was upgrade display $180 to the house. Nautique put some of "their" connections in between gateway n pp display, pp says run wire from pp display directly to gateway. Problem solved. For me at least, bigger and brighter screen eased the pain. Simple plug n play install.
