Sorry, this probably gets asked a thousand times a summer... but I need a prop for my 2000 Super Air (Walter V-Drive). The boat has the PCM Apex 5.7 engine. Hit a rock today, family coming into town next week ...no spare. From what I've read, The stock prop is the Acme 644? Can someone confirm that?
We're all about wakeboarding and surfing... Reading on Nautiqueparts.com, it looks like the 1234 is the 'big' low-end upgrade, that is technically too big for the boat and could maybe cause issues with the gel coat...I'm not thinking I want to risk that.
The 1578 is the other option... is that what I want? I'm at 4500 feet of altitude, and like I said it's all wakeboarding. Don't even own a ski. The boat isn't a slug with the stock prop that's on it, but more low end would be nice, especially when we load it up.
I'm thinking that's the one, but I wanted to confirm...will I see an improvement in pulling? And what will it do to RPMs, etc? Also, it's the 1578 right hand rotation and not the 1579 left hand rotation, right? Mine obviously spins clockwise.
