    OJ 14x18 vs Acme 644

My 2001 SAN has an OJ 14x18 prop. I have the opportunity to get an Acme 644 for good money. Will I see noticeable improvements in hole shot? I run factory ballast and 4/5 people normally. A new Acme in the UK is not an option. I've been quoted £600 (over $900) plus shipping - way too big a spend.

    Cheers.

    Grab it and run!

That prop will work great for your settup and will pick up even heavier ballast. Unless you're going to go with 750's in the back with 600 in the locker and a few hundred in the bow, that prop will work great. May slow your top end down just a smidge but will be such an improvement over that old OJ, you will not even notice.
