Issue with Linc screen - black

Went wakesurfing with a buddy today. Out of the blue, the Linc screen went completely dark, with no response from physical keys either.
shut down the boat, restarted several times and each time Linc would work fine for 5 to 10 minutes, then dead again. Also cruise control would stop working.
Then everything worked fine for 20 mins or so.
Pulled back at boathouse and screen went fuzzy (like when satellite tv loses signal), then all black again.
    Anyone experienced this before?
Hope is nothing serious. I have a 2010 210, would warranty still cover this?

    Probably a bad connection somewhere.

      Thanks.

How do I check the connections behind the screen? Do I go through the panel at the feet of the driver pod or do I need to pull out the dash?

At the feet of the driver pod more then likely. I'm not a expert, I own a G and it was my first Nautique. I'm only saying I think its a bad connection from some computer knowledge.

had almost same problem a month ago , some time the engine would die while pulling, the time would disappear from linc, and the zo would not work, every thing would work for a couple minutes and then go back to the problems ,solution, changed out satellite punk , everything has work fine since.

Any reason the puck would cause the whole display to be out? Could it have been as you changed the puck the loose connection righted itself. I would hate to think the GPS could take out the whole boat.

This is why I am not a fan of the linc.... Great system, but if it fails - you have nothing...

Seen this during summer on 2010 200. Also, occasional horizontal white line across middle of screen. It does seem intermittent and I wonder if this could be a loose connection somewhere or a flakey power connection on battery terminals causing low 12V supply to linc. Didn't affect the running of the boat when problem existed though.

my LINC screen is completey dead, it just died after I pressed stop button whilst dropping skier . It will not BOOT UP, Battery power good, cant find any loose connections press start and ignition blue lights turn on, press start again and fuel cell clicks in filling with fuel but screen still black and engine wont turn over all is dead. Could this be faulty screen, faulty power module under the dash, , Are relays connected to the LINC System and which one . ANYBODY EXPERIENCE THIS BEFORE really stuck now thanks. Sorry to tell you the screen probably needs to be replaced. When I had the similar issue, there was nothing the Nautique dealer could do, apart replace it. It was incovenient for me too to go to the Nautique dealer, but when I spoke with Nautique directly they told me they prefer their own dealers do these replacements, especially so that they can honor the warranty on the new part.
                        Good luck with your screen.

As someone else mentioned, the LINC should be covered by the 3 year warranty. When mine went out, the Nautique dealer replaced it free of charge. Interestingly, mine didn't go out completely at once: I started having issues over several weeks. At the beginning the screen would not come on when starting the engine - shutting down and restarting the engine would resolve the issue. But then after another couple of weeks, I started getting some black lines across the screen, at random intervals. From there, it went down hill pretty quick.

Someone else mentioned that the boat still operates. That is correct, but I found 3 major drawbacks in my example:
                            1. No cannot check fuel tank status at all
                            2. No access to cruise control/perfect pass and ballast tank gauges - so no more shredding
                            3. No access to the radio controls and GPS. I manually had to kill the radio from the glove compartment, since I couldn't change the volume from LINC.

So, my learning is that when LINC dies, it's really tough to keep enjoying your beautiful Nautique. Wish the warranty was longer...just in case!

Just posted this in another thread, but I've had mine go black a couple times. Shut battery off, turn back on, hit start twice. If it doesnt say "booting", hit stop twice, then hit start again. Sometimes you have to repeat this a few times. Get it replaced if you can. I think this was a factory defect in a very select few boats. I doubt your new screen will do this within the same amount of time as your current screen.
