      ok, now i am confused. was it really the crankshaft pulley bolt. It had come out? You are making arrangements to have it replaced?

        Yep, it really was the crankshaft pulley bolt that had somehow backed out. Buxton put a new one in yesterday and said they had never seen that before.
        2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop
        2010 SANTE 230 343 (280hrs)
        pre 2010 - various open bow boats and jet skis
