Trailer height while towing?

Hello,
I just bought a lifted truck. It is a full size Ford with a 6 inch lift and 36 inch tires. I was wondering how much of a drop down tongue do I need?

Anyway, When I bought the boat, the dealer said to use 18" to
top of ball from the ground.

I move out to Disco in the end of July. Yes I have a white ford. I bought a 7 inch drop, and it put me at 20 inches. It seems to work well. The back end is a little high, but it hleps for those steep driveways.

Depends on the trailer too. I setup my drop for 18" but, my DHM trailer has the actuator mounted up about 2" from the main frame thus, I had to flip my drop to make up the 2".
