    keypad issues???

got my new to me 2006 SANTE yesterday all the way from AZ to New Zealand

can anyone help with the following please

I have charged the batteries, and cannot get any accessories or starting to work on the start keypad except the bilge pump and air blower.
The background lighting lights up on the keypad, but when i push the start button there is nothing. the numbered buttons from 1 to 10 seem to work as a light comes on

I am thinking either it has a bad keypad or it is keypad number locked. I did ask whether it had a lock number and was told it did not

what i have done and found below

main earth/ground connections on engine very loose - tightened
main starter motor positive cable very loose - tightened
positive feed wire on the back of the circuit breaker board at the drivers feet was very loose- tightened
drivers safety lanyard switch is operating correctly, pulled wires and checked on multimeter beeping continuity
batteries charged and tested for load
    battery terminals cleaned.
battery switch set for both batteries or one, or two, doesnt change anything
switch at drivers knee area is 'All on' and wiggled it whilst repeatedly trying the start button. will check this tomorrow on terminals on back of switch with multimeter

in short, i press the start button and nothing happens, It will not even enter accessory mode

any help would be greatly appreciated, also what is master code in case it has a lock on it

as you have stated, and all you need to do is 1. turn battery to 1 or 2, 2.turn switch on the drives side chair to all on. 3. enter code and press start. this should activate everything. 4. press start again and should start... hopefully you have the right code number supplied to you, had the same issues when I got mine sent to Tasmania.. Cheers JBG

Could be your 3-position bildge switch. Worth reading through this as it could be the same - http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...ue-won-t-start

        thanks guys,
turned out it did have a code after i was first told it didn't. that only part fixed the problem. turns out one battery is stuffed even after a load test and the other is not so good, and the 3 way toggle switch seems to work about 9/10 times after re-testing on a multimeter. whole $3 switch fixed that. problems sorted now
