    Battery question

When the boat is in the water and not in use (at the dock),which switches have to be in on position?
    Ignition?
    Bilge Pump?
Does the Perfect Pass take enough power when in on position to empty the battery?
I had the ignition on, bilge pump on and the switch for the Perfect Pass on; after 2 days, my battery was empty. Is this normal, do I have to leave all these in the off position....or is there a prob with my battery?
    It's a 12V 74A/h
Which batterie do you have on your boats?

    RE: Battery question

Leave the ignition and Perfect Pass off. There is an "automatic" position for the bilge pump. Up is on, center auto, down is off. You killed your battery yourself.

        RE: Battery question

        bob's2001,
I leave my ignition and auto-bilge on in my '94 nautique. With the ignition off, the auto-bilge won't work. I think the only other thing that runs with the ignition switch is my clock, and it won't kill the battery in a week or two on the water with no use.
I have left my Perfect pass on overnight (for 2 nights) though, and come back to a dead battery. I have since re-wired pp to use my keyed power, so it comes on when i start the boat, and off when the key is off.

My auto bilge works with or without the ignition on. It should work with ignition off, that way if you keep your boat in the water you don't have to leave the key in the ignition making it easy for some jackass to take off, and your boat won't sink.
