Yesterday in my 2005 210 the check engine light came on and went into limp mode. The temperature was good and oil pressure read 40 psi at idle. After some research, I decided to disconnect the wire to the oil pressure switch. The check engine light went off and boat returned to normal.
The oil level was a little low but I still had 40 psi at idle. Does anyone know what pressure triggers the oil pressure switch to turn on the check engine light and if my oil pressure was at a normal level? The manual says normal pressure is something like 25-60 psi which doesn't help. I want to make sure the oil pressure switch is bad before ordering a new one.
Thanks
