I found this keypad for sale and I'm thinking about buying it. Through some research it appears that the factory code is stored in the keypad, not the computer. It doesn't appear that the owner knows the factory code. I guess I'm taking a chance that a user code has never been programmed into it. If you look at the picture, there's a number under the part number. I wonder if that might be the code - any thoughts?

The code is whatever the installer chose for it.
For that model keypad, it is shipped with no code. IIRC (I have done it before): to burn the code, you follow the same instructions as setting the Primary Code....but you get one chance...and it becomes permanent as the master embedded code....then, if you follow the same procedure again, you set the Primary code.
Some comments:
1. It is possible the code was never set
2. It is possible (likley) the user burned the original code, which could be looked up by HIN w/ the dealer or CC
3. It is possible, the user burned a new code and told CC the new code
4. It is possible, the user burned a new code and didn't tell CC.
I'm not sure what you actual question is.

This is less that 1/4 of that price including shipping. My question really is wondering if there is any chance that the number on the back is the initial code, but I'm guessing that it's not. I just thought it might be good to have a spare since the price is right.
There's not a lot of information available about it, but I'll probably take a chance that it's never been programmed.2004 Super Air Nautique 210 Team Edition

I finally had a chance to check this out today and it was a success! The $25 keypad appears to be brand new and there doesn't appear to be any code loaded in it. I hooked it up temporarily and it starts the boat right up! So now I have a spare!!2004 Super Air Nautique 210 Team Edition
