    Perfect pass problem

I have a stargazer perfect pass on my 2000 Ski Nautique. The speed is about 5 miles slow and the speedo is not accurate either. The paddle wheel is ok. How do I get this fixed?

I don't even understand what you are talking about...If you have "stargazer" that means you have gps doesn't it? So how would you have a paddle wheel? If you don't have gps then cough up the bucks and upgrade then you can quit worrying about paddle wheels and wrong speed.

If you don't actually have stargazer and want to go gps, you can get the nauticlaugic module that plugs in in place of the paddle wheel. No other upgrades needed. I've been using this for 2 years and it works great.

do you ride on rivers? if so, stargazer can be a PITA. i've never had any complaints with the paddlewheel. PP has great customer service. give them a call

I second the question of you being on a river. Your paddle wheel is no longer feeding any info to the PP gauge, so you can remove that from the equation. Are getting slow course times? Just curious how you know you're running 5mph slow.

If you are on a river and you slalom, especially the course, you may want to stick with the paddlewheel. I do not ski, and for wakeboarding, surfing, and foiling, my GPS system works fine on Lake Austin, which is a very slow moving river. I don't notice the boat going faster down river than up. What I do notice is wind speed in my face and whistling off my helmet. I really wish they could make a helmet that didn't make all that noise when riding into the wind.

I'm on a lake and the speedo and GPS are not accurate according to my phone. I spoke with perfect pass and the upgrade is about $600 for GPS. It says Stargazer on the screen when the unit powers up. This has been confusing to me as well! Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't go by the GPS on your phone for a reference point. They are notoriously inaccurate. At minimum, get a Garmin GPS from a car or borrow someone's and use that to calibrate, not a phone.
